Community Guidelines
What is and isn't allowed on Airtinary.

Airtinary is for planning trips with people you like and sharing them with people who want to see them. These guidelines cover everything you post — postcards, captions, comments, trip media, your profile, and your username. They apply to features we add later, too.

They sit alongside our Terms of Service, which is the binding agreement. Where this page and the Terms differ, the Terms govern.

What we expect

  • Post your own travel. Share trips you took, photos you made or have the right to share, and recommendations you actually mean.
  • Respect the people in your photos. Other travellers, hosts, and strangers in the background didn't sign up to be posted. Ask, and take it down if they ask you to.
  • Be honest. Don't pass off someone else's trip, photos, or recommendations as yours, and don't invent a place or an experience.
  • Disagree without going after people. A bad review of a hotel is fine. Going after another user is not.

What isn't allowed

Don't post, upload, or share content that is:

  • Sexually explicit or adult. Nudity, pornography, or other "R-rated" content. Airtinary is not the place for it.
  • Sexualising minors in any way. This is the one rule with no context, no warning, and no second chance — see below.
  • Violent or graphic. Content meant to shock, threaten, or glorify harm.
  • Hateful or discriminatory. Attacks on people over race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or immigration status.
  • Harassment or bullying. Targeting someone, piling on, or repeatedly contacting someone who doesn't want it. This includes posting someone's private information — home address, phone number, workplace — without their consent.
  • Impersonation. Passing yourself off as another person, brand, or business.
  • Spam or scams. Bulk or repetitive posting, engagement farming, misleading links, phishing, malware, or fake bookings and offers.
  • Someone else's work. Photos, video, or writing you don't have the rights to.
  • Illegal. Anything unlawful where you are or where your audience is, including selling regulated or illegal goods.
  • Dangerous travel advice presented as fact. Be careful with border crossings, visas, health, and safety. Getting this wrong can genuinely hurt someone.

Child safety

Content that sexualises a minor is removed on sight and the account is terminated permanently. We report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the appropriate authority in your jurisdiction, as required by law, and we preserve the associated records for their investigation. There is no appeal for this category.

How this is enforced

We rely on reports from people using the app, plus automated screening and human review. Every report is reviewed within 24 hours.

Depending on what we find, we may:

  • Remove the content and warn the author;
  • Limit an account's reach or ability to post;
  • Suspend an account temporarily; or
  • Terminate an account permanently, for severe violations or for repeat offences after a warning.

Severity matters more than count. A first post in the child-safety, non-consensual-imagery, or credible-threat categories ends the account; a first mildly off-topic post gets a warning.

Reporting and blocking

If you see something that breaks these rules, tap ••• on the postcard and choose Report. The person you report isn't told who reported them.

You don't have to wait for us. Tap ••• → Block, or block from someone's profile, and they disappear from your experience immediately — you won't see their postcards, they won't see yours, and neither of you turns up in the other's search. They're never told. You can undo it any time in Settings → Blocked Accounts.

Full instructions are on our Support page.

If you think we got it wrong

Reply to the notice you received, or email support@airtinary.com with your username and what was removed. A person will look at it again. We aim to answer appeals within 5 business days. Outside the child-safety category, we'd rather restore something we removed by mistake than leave it down.

Changes

These guidelines will change as Airtinary does. Significant changes will be reflected here and, where they affect what you can post, called out in the app.
